Last week Terminal B invited school kids from the local area for guided tours with our own Ingrid Valan. The tours lasted for 45 minutes and the kids from 5th to 7th grade learnt about contemporary art through their experiences with our current exhibition COME HELL OR HIGH WATER – an engaging and immersive exhibition that includes virtual reality, sound, scent and projection. The guided tours gave an insight into the working practices of the artists and the different mediums they use to create their work.
“The sound-works got a lot of attention, we didn’t focus on the artwork that made the most noise, but instead discussed how the whole room seemed to be filled with different and interesting sounds. Of course, the VR was very exciting but I got the impression they could also relate a lot to the ‘Pool of Ephemeral’ when relating to global warming and the melting poles.”
COME HELL OR HIGH WATER is a collaborative exhibition between French artists Magali Daniaux & Cedric Pigot and Norwegian architects Jan Gunnar Skjeldsøy and Anders Eik Pilskog. Read more about the exhibition and come to the guided tour this week.
