At the workshop you can make your own cup or plate together with artist and ceramicist Marit Landsend, currently with her own exhibition at Terminal B Kunsthall.
You shape your ceramic piece and give it life with begitation – a soft, paintable clay mixture of dried and powdered clay mixed with water. Betting is ideal for decorating and gives your ceramics a unique touch – a perfect opportunity to unleash your creativity!
We use clay from Pasvik both for the ceramics themselves and to make the begettings we paint with. The clay from Pasvik has been used to make ceramics for thousands of years. In the 1930s, around 150 different ceramic vessels were found in a potato field at Noatun in Pasvikdalen. The oldest pieces are around 7,000 years old.
