Áávu ucâmin – arbeidsvisning i Terminal B

Velkommen til en arbeidsvisning/prøveforestilling med kunstneren Auri Ahola og hennes team av kunstnere som driver innenfor dans, musikk, sirkus, joik, rap og leu´dd!

Det kunstneriske laboratoriet Áávu ucâmin (norsk: søken etter glede) til enaresamiske Auri Ahola og hennes team dykker ned i hva samisk og urfolksglede og feiring kan være. Arbeidsgruppen består av kunstnere og kulturarbeidere fra ulike felt og ulik bakgrunn fra Sápmi, Grønland og Finland. Første laboratorium i prosjektet holdes denne uka i Kirkenes, i samarbeid med og som en del av Pikene på Broens residency-program. Gruppa jobber sammen i én uke utendørs i og rundt Kirkenes, og avslutter med en arbeidsvisning for det lokale publikummet.

Utøverne er dansekunstnerne Unna Kitti og Elisabeth Heilmann Blind, sjonglør og sirkusartist Aleksi Niittyvuopio, joikekunstneren Petra Magga-Vars, rapperen Ailu Valle og livđe end leu’dd-artisten Aimo Aikio.
Forestillingen er åpen for alle og varer i omtrent 1 time, ingen påmelding nødvendig. Vi inviterer til kaffe, te og en uformell samtale med kunstnerne etter forestillingen.

Welcome to a work-in-progress performance by the artist Auri Ahola and her team of dancers, musicians, circus, yoik, rap and leu´dd artists at Terminal B Saturday 9th of August at 13.00.

The artistic laboratory Áávu ucâmin (English: in search of joy) of Inari Sámi Auri Ahola and her team dives into exploring and creating Sámi and indigenous celebration and joy. The work group consists of artists and cultural professionals from various fields and different backgrounds in Sámi, Greenland and Finland. In Kirkenes the laboratory is happening for the first time, in collaboration with Pikene på Broen. The group works together for one week around Kirkenes in outside locations, at the end of which the results of the work are presented to the local audience.

The performers are dance artists Unna Kitti and Elisabeth Heilmann Blind, juggler and circus artist Aleksi Niittyvuopio, yoik artist Petra Magga-Vars, rap artist Ailu Valle and livđe end leu’dd artist Aimo Aikio.
The performance is open to everyone and lasts around 1 hour, no sign up required. We invite everyone for coffee, tea and an informal talk with the artists after the performance.
