Pikene på Broen: bringing Kirkenes
closer to France and Lebanon!

Kirkenes is now closer to France! Starting from the 25th of June live streaming from the town center and the harbour will be presented to all the visitors at the exhibition “Art and Climate Change” in the French city of Angers, at the Art Center
Le Quai.
The artists behind the project are Magali Daniaux and Cédric Pigot who came to Kirkenes and developed their project «Projet ø» with the support of Pikene på Broen. The idea is to broadcast in real time pictures of the High North to the French public. More information in French can be found here.

On Sunday, 27th of June, Pikene på Broen chared their experiences with other curators and artists´resedencies from Egypt, Denmark, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey and Sweden at the “Goings On” meeting in Beirut. This meeting of international independent art spaces was organized by curator’s studio Werk from Liverpool in collaboration with 98weeks Project Space from Beirut.
