    Last week, the Murmansk edition of The Power of Diversity exploded to life at Barents Bird festival with young performers from ten European countries taking to the stage, along with dancers from Northern Norway, Gust Life (Murmansk) & MTI Murmansk.

  • The Power of Diversity travels to Murmansk for the Barents Bird Festival

    The result of a pan-European dance and theatre project, The Power of Diversity brings together young performers who have taken the lead in developing a unique street-theatre performance that now tours to the Barents Bird festival in Murmansk. The young performers from across Europe have crossed real and artistic borders with the goal to find common ground where their societies and cultures overlap. The performance at Barents Bird is the final result of more than two years of workshops and touring with the support of nine festival partners from eight European countries. The Barents Bird performance also features dancers from Northern Norway, Gust Life (Murmansk) & MTI Murmansk.

    Pikene på Broen is pleased to be contributing to the program of the Arctic Arts Summit in Harstad on the 21st and 22nd of June. The 2017 Arctic Arts Summit is the first ever summit and conference where all eight Arctic countries participate in highlighting circumpolar arts and culture. Along with ministers and politicians from all the Arctic countries who will present thoughts on how they read the Arctic culture and the Arctic art scene today. The Arctic Arts Summit will feature a wide range of thematic sessions hosted by Arctic arts institutions and organisations.
